Suggested Items For Shoeboxes for the Troops
Lord of Life Preschool invites you and your family to participate in a special project to show our troops serving in overseas how much their service is appreciated. We are asking each family to pack a shoebox or box of a similar size with items that our troops would enjoy. You will find a list of suggested items attached.
The boxes must be packed well with no extra space. Use packing peanuts, newspaper or other appropriate packing materials to fill in the extra space. This will help prevent the box from being crushed. Any items that could leak should be placed in a plastic zipper bag. You can include pictures drawn by your children and you can even include a personal letter with your home e-mail address so that the recipient of your gift can send you a thank-you Do not tape the boxes shut or wrap them in wrapping paper. This can make dealing with customs more difficult. Have your children decorate the outside of the box with stickers or stamps.
Donations to assist in paying shipping would be appreciated.
We will be collecting the boxes until January 27. We have some empty boxes that you may take.
